How to work comfortably (and productively) from bed

When space is limited – or you just fancy a change of scene – your bedroom can be a place to work and study, as well as a place to sleep. With a few simple products and ideas, you can still be as industrious as you are comfortable on your bed.

From sleep to study and back again

If you roll-up your duvets and hang them from a curtain rod, you can turn a sleeping area into a comfy sitting area. Bedding out of the way, you can easily change your focus to studies or socializing.

Getting the walls to work for you

Rather than push your bed right up against the wall, you can put up some shelves instead. Then, you have a handy place for lamps, work things, nighttime reading and even a houseplant or two.

Not just for breakfast in bed

This bed tray has a groove at the back to hold a tablet or a book, plus a hole for your charging cable. So, you can work more comfortably on your bed or sofa. The legs fold for easy storage.

Meals – and deals – on wheels

When the legs have casters, your table can go where you need it most. Whether that’s by – or over – the bed while you work on a deal, or rolled away at lunchtime when you have company over.

Perfect clarity from any angle

When both the arm and the head of a work lamp are adjustable, you can direct the light to your desk or to your bed. You can control the bedroom lighting even better if you have several on the wall.
