This Privacy notice provides you with an overview of how and why IKEA North America Services, LLC (“IKEA”, “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, stores, and uses the personal data of you and your child when you use Småland.   • 1. What personal data do we collect?

    The personal data we will collect from you includes your name, email address, telephone number, address, signature, your child’s name, age, height, and optionally any health data that you find relevant for the safety for your child, e.g. allergies (collectively “Personal Data”).

  • 2. When do we collect your personal data?

    When you use our Småland supervised play area , we collect Personal Data directly from you as a parent or legal guardian of the child.

    Our Småland system also gives you the opportunity to save a profile with your Personal Data, not your child’s for easier future use of Småland.

  • 3. How do we use your personal data and what are our legal justifications for doing so?

    We use your Personal Data to provide you with Småland supervised play area services and to communicate with you about this service. We use aggregated and anonymized data from Småland to measure our services and to improve and provide the best supervised play area we can. If you are an IKEA Family member, we may also collect and use your Personal Data for the purposes outlined in the IKEA Family Terms of Use.

  • 4. Who do we share your personal data with?

    We do not share or sell your Personal Data with third parties. However, we will share or disclose your Personal Data if we have a legal obligation to do so, such as with law enforcement agencies or public authorities to prevent or detect crime or to respond to health emergencies. .
    We also share aggregated data with other organizations in the IKEA Group to assess our Småland services and to improve and provide the best services we can.

    You have a number of rights relating to your Personal Data and what happens to it. You are entitled to:

    • be informed about how your personal data is collected, used and shared;
    • acccess Personal Data we hold about you;
    • require us to delete Personal Data concerning you in certain situations.

    Security of your personal data

    We take the security of your Personal Data very seriously. We have implemented various strategies, controls, policies and measures to keep your data secure and keep these measures under close review. We protect your Personal Data by using encryption techniques and we use other safeguards such as firewalls and password protection. This means that your Personal Data is protected and only accessible by co-workers who need to carry out their job responsibilities. We also ensure that there are strict physical controls in our buildings restricting access to your Personal Data. The device given to you when your child is in the Småland facility does not store any Personal Data.

    Retention of your personal data

    IKEA aims to only retain your Personal Data for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy notice. Retention periods will vary according to the type of the data and the reason that we have the data in the first place. If
    you do not choose to save your Personal Data for easier use of Småland services at a later point, your data is deleted after 30 days.
    The Personal Data of children is deleted after one year.
