Sometimes the mattress has a noticeable smell when you open the packaging. The smell isn’t harmful or toxic and disappears over time. Airing and vacuuming the mattress helps to eliminate the smell faster.

All of our mattresses can be used immediately, but keep in mind that a packaged mattress only regains its full shape and comfort after approximately 72 hours. Your body also needs a couple of weeks to adapt to the new mattress.

Very firm and thinner than advertisedBILL W.Measurements say these are 4 3/4 inches thick, and the two we got are MAYBE 4 1/4 inches thick. Both of them. It's a very firm mattress with not a lot of give. We'll have to add some kind of topper to make these (a) comfortable enough for guests to sleep on, and (b) higher-profile so fitted sheets have SOME chance of staying on around the edges. If you want this mattress--or rather two mattresses so you can make it a king when you pull out the bed--you HAVE to get two sets of VARVIAL sheets, which are made for mattresses maximum 6 inches thick; no one anywhere makes king-size sheets for a 4- to 5-inch mattress (assuming you get ones closer to the almost 5 inches advertised rather than the two we got closer to 4).2
Not the same mattressSHIRLEY R.I thought I purchased this same mattress 2 years ago and it was great on the day bed. Just purchased 2 more for bunk beds and they are thin and hard as a rock. I like firm mattresses but this one was so uncomfortable I had to sleep on the sofa. The old mattresses were about 5.5/6 inches thick. Can’t really tell since they are a couple of years old and currently measure around that size. These expanded to maybe 3 inches. I don’t know what the return policy is but these are definitely going back1
Firm, won’t last 10 yearsSarah W.My husband and I have been using this mattress for 3 years. It has been very firm and comfy for us without any mattress topper or pad. The foam does wear down over time, and you will notice a deeper and deeper imprint where you were laying when you wake up in the morning. We ended up buying a new mattress and will put this in the guest bedroom with a mattress topper on top.4

What is foam?

Foam is excellent as upholstery in seating and mattresses since it provides good comfort and can relieve pressure by moulding to the body. Depending on the properties and feel you’re looking for, there are several qualities to choose from, like high-resilience foam and memory foam. The raw material for foam was previously based entirely on virgin fossil materials. But today, together with our suppliers, we’ve begun developing a material that is renewable and recycled.
