EACH SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR PLAY IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE AND LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.
A. Overview: The IKEA® Scan for a Chance to Win Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) will take place each calendar month between 12:00 AM ET on the first calendar day of the applicable month and ending at 11:59 PM ET on the last calendar day of the applicable month (each a “Sweepstakes Period”) until the Sweepstakes is ended by IKEA. On the twentieth day of the month following each Sweepstakes Period (each a “Drawing Date”), there will be 52 drawings conducted by random draw (each a “Drawing”). By following the instructions set forth below in Section 4, participants can enter into one of the Drawings (as defined in Section 5 below). Non-winning entries from one Sweepstakes Period do not roll over into the next Sweepstakes Period.
B. Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, who are at least 18 years old and the age of majority or older at the time of entry, and who are members of the IKEA Family program. If you have misplaced your IKEA Family program card or number, visit https://www.ikea.com/us/en/ikea-family/. Employees, contractors, directors and officers of IKEA North America Services, LLC (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, sales representatives, retailers, and advertising, promotion and judging agencies and all other service agencies involved with the Sweepstakes, and members of the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouse) and household of each such employee are not eligible to participate.
C. Agreement to Official Rules: The Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Winning the prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth in the Official Rules. These Official Rules are subject to the Terms and Conditions, which are incorporated herein by this reference.
D. How to Enter. During a Sweepstakes Period, visit one of the 52 IKEA stores within the United States during store hours and either (i) scan your IKEA Family program card or mobile card at one of the in-store kiosks or (ii) provide your IKEA Family program card number at the time of checkout. Entries for each of the 52 IKEA stores will be separated into 52 discrete Drawings.
By completing one of the foregoing, you will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. LIMIT: one (1) entry per person for each Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate, or illegible entry information. Those who do not follow all of these instructions, or abide by these Official Rules or other instructions of Sponsor may be disqualified. In the event that an entrant enters multiple times, only the first eligible entry will be counted and all subsequent entries will be disqualified.
E. Winner Drawings: On or around each Drawing Date (as set forth above), Sponsor will choose one (1) potential winner from among the eligible entries submitted during the applicable Sweepstakes Period for each Drawing. Sponsor will notify each potential winner by email provided during entry or otherwise linked to IKEA Family account. There will be a total of 52 potential winners for each Sweepstakes Period. Potential winners are subject to verification of eligibility. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received for each applicable Drawing during each Sweepstakes Period. All decisions by IKEA relating to this Sweepstakes are final and binding. If a potential winner is found not to be eligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, or if prize notification or any prize is returned as undeliverable, or if potential winner cannot collect prize within designated time, the potential winner will be disqualified. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize to an alternate entrant who will also be selected randomly, even if the disqualified potential winner’s name may have been publicly announced. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address, and/or telephone number of entrants. If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Should multiple users of the same e-mail account enter the Sweepstakes and a dispute thereafter arise regarding the identity of the entrant, the authorized account holder of said e-mail account at the time of entry will be considered the entrant. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
F. Prize: During each Sweepstakes Period, one (1) winner per each Drawing will receive one (1) one hundred dollar ($100) IKEA® Gift Card (approximate retail value (“ARV”): $100, total ARV of all prizes per Sweepstakes Period: $5,200). LIMIT: One prize per person per Sweepstakes Period. The prize will be sent to the winner’s email address as provided during entry or otherwise linked to IKEA Family account. The prize is awarded, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. IKEA is not responsible for a lost or stolen prize. Prize is subject to terms and conditions set thereon. Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on the prize. Any portion of prize not used by winner is forfeited and no cash or other substitute will be offered or permitted, except in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Prize is valid in IKEA US stores only.
G. Limitations on Liability: By entering the Sweepstakes and/or accepting a prize, each entrant releases and holds harmless IKEA and its agents, company’s officers, parent companies and employees from any and all liability for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property in connection with participation in and use or misuse of the prize or for any cause of action based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy or prize delivery. Sponsor is not responsible for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature.
H. Publicity Release: Except where legally prohibited, each winner’s acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s agreement and consent for IKEA to use of his/her name and likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and city and state of residence in print, TV, radio, broadcast, or Internet and other forms of media now known or hereafter devised for advertising, trade, promotional and/or marketing purposes in any media worldwide without additional compensation, limitation, restriction, notice, review or approval.
I. Privacy: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants will be sharing their personal information with IKEA subject to these Terms and Conditions. Personal information collected by IKEA will be used for administration of the Sweepstakes and awarding the prize. If you are selected as a winner, your information may also be included in a publicly-available winner’s list.
J. Right to Cancel: IKEA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Sweepstakes for any reason, including if it is not capable of running it as planned, including for any causes beyond the control of IKEA which affect administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes. IKEA reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds tampering with the entry process or operation of the Sweepstakes. IKEA reserves the right to correct typographical errors in any Sweepstakes-related materials. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of automated devices will cause disqualification.
K. Winners List: For a copy of the Winners List, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: IKEA North America Services, LLC, 420 Alan Wood Road, Conshohocken, PA 19428 Attn: IKEA Family, and include the applicable Sweepstake Period. Requests received sixty days after the end of the applicable Sweepstakes Period will not be honored.
